What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking an Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) analyst to support a complex project providing technical and advisory services to the Department of State. The candidate will be on the "ground floor" of helping the client develop OSINT capabilities. In addition to supporting tool selection, the candidate will conduct narrative open-source intelligence, engage numerous propriety data sources, and conduct analysis to identify and track activities of interest. They will support all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key information gaps, through data collection, from performing analyses to delivery actionable intelligence.
In this role, you will have an opportunity to interact with the clients' senior management and brief key stakeholders. You will work as part of a larger cross-functional team, supporting technical/management meetings working alongside the team and client. Day-to-day, you'll support client deliverables, often concerning various National Security threat actors, to include internal and client deliverables and presentations, day-to-day project logistics, and special projects as the need arises.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Supporting the assessment and selection of OSINT technology that will assist the Department in identifying and analyzing adversarial narratives across foreign information environments.
  • Managing tool enablement for clients, including hands-on support and coordination with vendors as needed.
  • Conducting open-source intelligence and proprietary research across social media, deep/dark web, and other sources.
  • Performing link analysis and develop network diagrams to illustrate relationships between individuals, organizations, and other entities.

What You Will Need:
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • FOUR (4) years of relevant experience in OSINT and data collection and analysis techniques
  • Proficient in OSINT tool selection

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Experience working with the Department of State and Intelligence Community
  • Experience in an international setting
  • Excellent organizational and written communication skills; capability to clearly and succinctly define problems and outline solutions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with technical writing or report production
  • A high-quality combination of some interests, skills, and experiences related to:

  • Open-source data sets
  • Open-source tools/software
  • Social media platforms and aggregators for analysis purposes,
  • Syndicated or API-accessed databases
  • Other technology (e.g., natural language processing, web-scraping techniques),
  • Cyber threat intelligence
  • Deep & Dark Web, encrypted apps (e.g., TOR, Telegram)
  • Specialized niche skills/knowledge (e.g., foreign propaganda narratives)

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
