Job Summary
Provide planning support to the MARCENT Plans and Policy Directorate (G-5) for USMC and USN naval integration efforts across the CENTCOM AOR.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Attend HQMC, CENTCOM, and NAVCENT-level planning events to plan, analyze, and assess naval force integration efforts
  • Support planning of major OPLANs supporting naval integration efforts, including maritime raids, Non-combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO), and Foreign Humanitarian Assistance (FHA)/Disaster Relief (DR) operations
  • Maintain understanding of the force management process for planning, prioritizing, and designating USMC/USN operations and naval integration command relationships
  • Track ongoing and emerging integration efforts across combatant commands and apply best practices to CENTCOM
  • Coordinate with HQMC (PP&O, CD&I) and MARFORCOM on Service-level naval integration efforts and issues
  • Serve as MARCENT liaison to NAVCENT; review Joint and Service-level doctrine on naval operating concepts
  • Chair an assessment cell of component action officers to evaluate and track integration efforts
  • Develop assessments, briefs, and information papers; provide SME guidance and support internal MARCENT working groups

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant naval integration/operational planning experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of Naval operating concepts, ship posture, and command relationships
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • Strong coordination and analytical skills

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Work is generally performed in a standard office environment at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. Must be able to sit, stand, and use computer equipment for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
Travel
  • Travel required to support HQMC, CENTCOM, and NAVCENT planning events.
