Specialized Orthopaedic Services is seeking a motivated individual interested in becoming an Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients, solving problems, and using both technical and hands-on skills in a rewarding healthcare profession.
Launch a Career in Orthotics & Prosthetics โ€“ No Experience Required
We are willing to train the right candidate and provide supervised clinical experience to help prepare for eligibility toward ABC Orthotic and/or Prosthetic Assistant certification.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists during patient appointments
  • Learn orthotic and prosthetic fitting techniques
  • Assist with device fabrication, modifications, and repairs
  • Prepare patient treatment rooms and equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and inventory
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and referral sources
  • Participate in ongoing education and clinical training
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate or bachelorโ€™s degree preferred but not required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working directly with patients of all ages
  • Interest in pursuing ABC Orthotic and/or Prosthetic Assistant certification
