Assistant Orthotic Prosthetic Assistants are healthcare professionals who support orthotists and prosthetists in the fabrication, fitting, and maintenance of orthotic (braces and supports) and prosthetic (artificial limb) devices. They help with patient assessments, device adjustments, repairs, and administrative tasks. Their role ensures that patients receive properly functioning devices and experience improved mobility and comfort.
