ABOUT THE ROLE

The Acquisitions & Development Intern will work alongside members of the A&D team over a four-week assignment, gaining firsthand exposure to the inner workings of a real estate investment and development organization. This role is designed to provide a meaningful learning experience through hands-on administrative and clerical support, while offering visibility into how acquisitions, underwriting, and development projects are structured, tracked, and executed at ITEX.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Organize, file, and maintain department documents, reports, and project correspondence
  • Assist with data entry related to property research, deal tracking, and pipeline management
  • Support the preparation of presentations, executive summaries, and internal reports
  • Coordinate scheduling, meeting logistics, and incoming communications for team members
  • Conduct basic market research and compile findings as directed by department leadership
  • Maintain department records and ensure files are accurately labeled and up to date
  • Provide general administrative support across the Acquisitions & Development team

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Urban Planning, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role is primarily office-based and requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. Occasional filing or light lifting of documents and materials (up to 15 lbs.) may be required.
