UW Oshkosh Newman Center Student Intern

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Oshkosh Newman Center seeks a self-motivated student interested in using their skills to support the mission of the diocese to boldly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus, prayerfully worship in word and sacrament, and compassionately serve those in need. The intern will work on a variety of projects and follow through in the documentation of those projects. This paid position provides an excellent opportunity for a person working on their degree to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field while working to serve the Catholic Church and her many ministries within and outside the curia. The hours expected in this position will be 7-10 hours per week.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Student actively enrolled in an undergraduate program, with current GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Creativity in using social media and other applications to help students engage others to come to different events other than the Holy Sacrifice and Adoration: Communication is key in helping the community know where to go when in need of information about events and retreats.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, and confidentiality.
  • Self-starter who can take direction and contribute ideas.
