Job description

Shangri-La Springs, in the heart of downtown Bonita Springs, is a historic center for vitality through healing arts and nature. That ethos permeates all aspects of the property, from the full-service organic spa to the certified organic farm-to-table restaurant that utilizes produce grown on the property itself. We are seeking a Line Cook with experience in the kitchen and a passion for customer service to join our team at Shangri-La Springs.

The Line Cook will: Handle the cooking of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You'll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes. Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.

Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc. Prepare dishes for service Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible. And other duties as assigned by manager.

The ideal candidate will: Cooking experience required. High school diploma preferred. Maintain a positive and customer service focused attitude Be self-directed, and also able to both give and receive direction clearly This position entails physical labor consistent with working in a hotel restaurant, and may include standing for prolonged periods, stair-climbing, lifting, pulling, or pushing items up to 50lbs.

Harvest & Wisdom cafe is open for brunch. Must have early day availability, however flexible. Schedule TBD in conjunction with the Chef, but the Line Cook can expect to work weekends and a few nights.
