Reporting to Originations Leadership, this position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of non-QM and investor loans originated by the Loan Officers. From application to pre-closing, this position manages the collection, verification and organization of all necessary borrower and property documentation. This role orders appraisals, completes title work, verifies borrower income and employment, ensures valid homeowners insurance and conducts fraud reviews and compliance checks.
This position is responsible for the accurate entry and verification of loan data within the Loan Origination System (LOS), confirming that each loan meets internal, investor and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, this role acts as a primary point of contact for borrowers and third-party vendors throughout the loan process.
Qualifications Include:
  • High School Diploma/ GED required
  • 3+ years' experience in loan processing within the residential mortgage industry
  • 1+ years' experience in a high-volume processing environment, with a demonstrated ability to fund 25+ loans per month
  • Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and VA loan products and guidelines
  • In-depth understanding of RESPA, TIL and TRID regulations and disclosure requirements (GFE, LE, CD)
  • Familiarity with Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS), such as Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP)
  • Demonstratable proficiency with Encompass (LOS)
  • Solid skills and experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to review and interpret personal and business tax returns
