Order Management Specialist
Our client, a global manufacturer serving industrial and specialty materials markets, is seeking an Order Management Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating customer orders, inventory, logistics, and delivery execution.
The Order Management Specialist serves as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring orders are processed accurately, deliveries remain on schedule, and communication is proactive throughout the order lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management & Customer Support
  • Manage customer orders from entry through delivery with a high degree of accuracy
  • Process and maintain orders within SAP and other business systems
  • Monitor order status, inventory availability, and shipment schedules
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential delivery risks or delays
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for order-related customer inquiries
  • Maintain accurate order documentation and customer records
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Shipping teams to ensure successful order execution
  • Coordinate shipment readiness activities to support on-time delivery performance
  • Communicate order updates and resolutions to both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Build strong working relationships across multiple departments
Process Improvement
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to order management and customer experience
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process enhancements
  • Utilize Microsoft 365 tools and business systems to improve operational efficiency
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in order management, customer operations, logistics coordination, customer service, supply chain support, or related operational roles
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365
Preferred
