SUMMARY

The Purchasing and Logistic Associate is a key member of the Purchasing team, primarily supporting the Windows Department and overall purchasing operations. This role is responsible for ordering site-specific supplies, including raw materials and items essential for production or maintenance. Depending on the location, the role may also involve inventory control activities. The role plays a vital role in procuring goods and coordinating purchasing-related activities to ensure smooth operational flow.

Salary Range - $62,200.00 to $85,530.00 (inclusive of bonus opportunities)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:

Procurement & Vendor Coordination: Prepare purchase orders, verify pricing and invoices, and communicate with vendors to obtain product details and delivery schedules.
Inventory & Order Management: Support branches in managing inventory levels, expedite orders, and resolve issues related to missing, delayed, or damaged products.
Freight & Logistics: Make timely decisions to manage freight, dispatch RBS trucks, work with pre-established freight schedules, and maintain quoting systems for freight companies. Final booking confirmations are shared with branches.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication between purchasing departments, collaborate with suppliers and branches, and assist with finance reports to clear month-end invoices.
Systems & Reporting Support: Assist in setting up SharePoint, maintain cost templates including uploads, and provide delivery information to RBS locations.
Issue Resolution & Credit Management: Investigate and resolve product-related issues and support the Operations Associate with outstanding supplier credits.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma at a minimum - University degree or college diploma an asset
At least 3 years strong background and work experience in an office environment of Distribution/Logistics business
Strong active listening & communication skills - written and verbal
Ability to work effectively as member of a team
Ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use a computer keyboard and computer monitors, stand; walk; use hands to type, touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the distribution warehouse that may require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
