Application and database upgrades. Upgrade Oracle Database Standard Edition to Enterprise EditionResponsible for the Administration Oracle server Databases. Review and QA Database ProgramsAutomation of data conversion scripts, refresh environments, documentationAssist with server patching and data center relocation Oracle Admin to support many Oracle initiatives but primarily for Oracle database upgrade projects for Amos and Crunchtime applications. General support for Fidelio and day-to-day operational tasks. Responsible for the administration of the Oracle server Databases on ship and shore which includes install, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backup and recovery, refresh, configuration, development team support, user administration, security, database, deployment as needed and audit compliance and standards. Maintenance and update Database Systems documents as needed. Required skills/competencies: Oracle Database Administrator, Operations Job Summary for Oracle DBA, You will be part of the team responsible for the implementation, planning, coordination, configuration, installation, upgrade and ongoing management of all Oracle Databases. Very proficient with AWR, ADDM tools.Key responsibilities include the identification and resolution of hardware, software or database problems/outages in any of the services. These responsibilities require 24x7 coverage and response to systems alerts during after-hour periods. Specific database performance issues, error messages or service problems will be routed directly to the Database Administrator. You will work closely with Systems Engineering to test planned databases upgrades, including definitions, structures, and/or documentation, as well as provide input into long-range database requirements and operational guidelines. Additionally you will use best operating practices to establish and maintain security and integrity controls. The DBA will formulate and monitor policies, procedures and standards relating to database management; propose and implement enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system; proactively research and locate necessary tools and processes to identify and proactively avert troublesome trends, as they develop in order to ensure a stable performance environment for the production environment. Required Skills/Experience: • Bachelor's degree • 5-7 years Oracle DBA experience, 5+ years in a 24/7/365 environment • Experience with highly available database solutions / architectures such as Oracle RAC and Standby Databases. • Experience in database design required. • Experience with AIX, Linux and Windows are desired. • Oracle Performance Tuning Experience (AWR, ADDM)• Experience working in secure enterprise database environments • Experience with RMAN • Experience with Exp/Imp, dpexp/dpimp Oracle tools. • Extensive knowledge with ASM • Experience performing a full restore to an Oracle database from tape. • Disaster Recovery Experience. • Strong SQL Programming, preferably Oracle with the ability to write complex SQL queries - understanding of views, stored procedures, triggers & an understanding of query optimization. • Excellent SQL and PL/SQL skills • Experience with database layouts on high performance disk subsystems required In addition candidate must exhibit the following: • Candidate MUST have extensive experience working in structured change management processes for highly available enterprise database systems • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills conducive to team development • Ability to perform needs assessment and handle technical objections Additional Information:• Competency in writing/analyzing PL/SQL, Korn shell scripts, et al. • Competency with data conversion, re-platform and transfer of data from on-premises to cloud Preferred Skills: Oracle database upgrade experience is a must from 11g to 12c/18g/19g.
