Role: Sr Functional DB2 DBA with HADR and Q-Replication

Location: NYC

Duration: 1+ year

Skills Need:

  • Must have 8+ years of experience working for US companies in the US.
  • Must have 4 years plus of recent (With in the last 4 years) Banking or brokerage experience.
  • Must have a Valid active IBM DBA/DB2 LUW certification.
  • Must have Extensive experience with DB2 LUW Version 9.7, 10.5.
  • Must have extensive HADR/Q-Replication experience.
  • Must have IBM Change Data Capture experience.
  • IBM Change Data Capture experience desired.
  • Expert with multiple languages and tools
  • Must have experience with salt scripting.

THE JOB (Daily Duties):

  • Administer and support of DB2 LUW databases.
  • Perform capacity planning, cluster set up, performance tuning and monitoring.
  • Configures and maintains security for databases and focuses on automation to streamline tasks and manage the environment.
  • Do performance tuning, problem diagnosis and resolution, and participates in multi-discipline triage of enterprise-wide incidents.
  • Administers and troubleshoots ETL Processes for decision support stores and Data warehouses.
  • Participates in 24x7 production on-call rotation and provides support for production issues.
  • Identifies and initiates resolutions to user problems/concerns associated with DB2 LUW functionality
