Job description

Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience performing activities directly related to a Data Warehouse implementation, database design and database administration (DBA). Experience includes implementing or maintaining Oracle data warehouse and business intelligence tools such as the following examples:

  • Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
  • Oracle Analytical Server (OAS)
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI)
  • Oracle Business Intelligence Application (OBIA)
  • Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
  • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
  • Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW)

Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience performing activities directly related to data modeling (logical and semantic) and metadata management

Experience with data warehouse fundamentals such as SQL, OLAP (Online Analytical Processing), star and snowflake schemas, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, Informatica, Tidal, and Business Intelligence Application Configuration Manager (BIACM).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Project team members to support all activities related to the Florida PALM Project implementation efforts and Production Support activities.
  • Use and share lessons learned and best practices associated with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence implementations that may promote efficiency and help to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Serve as a Data Warehouse and/or Business Intelligence subject matter expert, providing Solution recommendations and helping to resolve complex challenges.

Assist the State with its responsibilities as described below:

  • Conducting an analysis of the Data Warehouse and underlying data model and related security configurations, to identify and evaluate gaps in meeting reporting need, and make recommendations to address gaps.
  • Conducting a gap analysis to identify where data in PeopleSoft, is not available in the Data Warehouse for reporting.
  • Conducting and/or creating a mapping of legacy data to Florida PALM data to support end-user reporting.
  • Assisting with the data architecture (D&A Architecture) approach.
  • Assisting with data modeling.
  • Assisting with development standards and implementing the data governance model.
  • Assisting with testing and validating the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions are working correctly, contain the correct data, and are being properly and timely refreshed.
  • Assisting with cutover planning and execution.
  • Assisting with role and data security setup, recommendations, and overall user access management. Provide overall Project support, which includes:
  • Providing updates to Project status reporting;
  • Coordinating with the Project Directors and Architects to develop and update templates for Project use;
  • Facilitating meetings, promoting teamwork, and providing training as requested;
  • Tracking, mitigating, and escalating risks and issues;
  • Maintaining tools for the Project team’s use;
  • Researching, collecting, evaluating, and refining the data and tools necessary to meet Project goals.
  • Complete transition services, including facilitating lessons-learned meetings; creating a lessons-learned document related to Data Warehouse and/or Business Intelligence support services; and providing all the documents, software, software licenses, and other Project artifacts to the Project team as it relates to the work performed under the PO.
