Job Summary:
AA2IT is seeking a Snowflake Data Warehouse Technical Lead to oversee the migration from legacy Oracle and SQL Server platforms to Snowflake. The role involves defining standards for data modeling, managing team tasks, ensuring data quality, and executing operational projects within the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Lead migration from legacy Oracle and SQL Server Enterprise Data Warehouse platforms to Snowflake.
• Define Snowflake Data Warehouse standards, guidelines and processes for data modeling and report design.
• Assign tasks to Data Warehouse team members, review work products to ensure quality and alignment with organizational standards. Coach and mentor less experienced Business Intelligence team members to foster growth.
• Lead Snowflake Data Quality and Data Governance initiatives.
• Manage and execute various Snowflake Data Warehouse operational projects within organization
• Monitor Snowflake Data Warehouse and supporting systems to ensure scheduled reports are delivered in a timely manner and ad-hoc reports are running optimally.
• Maintain Snowflake Data Warehouse systems, ensuring they are patched and upgraded as required and performance is within acceptable thresholds.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Snowflake and Oracle PL/SQL
• Master's or Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, Information Systems and/or Data Science - 7-10+ years
• Experience leading one or more Snowflake Data Warehouse Migrations
• 7+ years of experience performing Data Warehouse design and development
• 7+ years of experience with Data Warehouse technologies including SQL, Oracle, Snowflake, Shell Script, Python, CSVs, JSON, Talend, DataStage, Informatica, SQL Server, mySQL, JavaScript
• Proficiency in dimensional modeling techniques and their applications
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to make sound decisions based upon analysis and work with both technical and business personnel
• Special Certifications: Data Warehouse Theory and Design, Distributed Operating Systems, Cloud SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, Python, JavaScript
Preferred:
• Experience with MicroStrategy, Qlik, Power BI, SSRS, DataBricks, Data Science, AI, Client and other reporting and analytics tools
• Experience with Cloud Technologies including Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS
