Theย Order Entryย NameListย Associateย is an important part of the team supportingย high schools,ย collegesย and other educational institutions (ourย customers).ย As a member of theย Orderย Entryย sub-team, you willย be responsible forย dailyย review of orders from customersย andย Herff Jonesย Independentย Salesย Partners (ISPs); these orders areย delivered through ourย web-basedย ESKOย portal.ย Preparing orders withย accurateย information to prevent changes is aย critically importantย function of this role, so attention to detail is crucial.ย Data entryย OF THE Name Listย is the firstย stepย of manyย inย ensuringย high-qualityย productsย goย timelyย fromย our manufacturing environmentย toย our customers.ย 

What Youโ€™ll Bring to the Table:

  • Understand who we are at Herff Jones, and why customers come to usย 
  • Gain a high-level understanding of the flow of products and processesย 
  • Build relationships withย Customer Service Agents and understand their needs as it relates to your roleย 
  • Become proficient in performing basic operations in our ERP system (Oracle) independentlyย 
  • Review daily orders and prioritize the order entry processย 
  • Verify and double check each order for order accuracy and completionย ofย other numerical detailsย 
  • Compare order details provided with the prepared package content before the product ships
  • Operate independently and serve as a subject matter expert forย your order bookย 
  • Demonstratedย ability to navigate ERP system (Oracle) for basic and advanced tasks, to meet or exceedย customerย need datesย

  • Driveย sales in both new and existing markets, with multiple productsย 
  • Present compelling presentationsย to students, parents and key decision makersย 
  • Develop trusted and loyal business partnershipsย both externally and with our internal partnersย 
  • Attend regularly scheduled sales and technical training meetings, including area, regional and nationalย sales conventions for the purpose of learning products,ย industry trends, programs, and processesย 
  • Call assigned customer and prospect schools in the territory on a regular basis to effectively increase market penetration and meet sales growth goalsย 
  • Develop and execute robust marketing campaigns in all prospects and accountsย 
  • Become anย ongoingย trusted specialist with your customers, utilizing value-add programs to deliver solutionsย ย 

Success Indicators:ย ย 

  • Ability toย operateย a personal computer in a Windows environment, includingย applications such asย Microsoft Outlook,ย Word, andย Chrome browserย 
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills are REQUIRED for this roleย 
  • Previousย experience working with an ERP system such as Oracle is preferredย 
  • Exceptional attention to detailย and the ability to notice errors and discrepanciesย ย 
  • Familiarity withย digitalย filing skillsย 
  • Strong math skills
  • Demonstrate success managing multiple processes and tasks with strong organizational skillsย 
  • A positive attitude with a focus on learning the complete product cycle to better serveย customersย (schools and administrators) andย Independent Sales Partnersย

ย Education / Certifications Required:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degreeย -ย Business, preferred
  • Work experience in lieu of degree consideredย 

Physical Requirements:

  • Daily activity includes but is not limited to lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting.
  • Reading, communication, math.
  • Working at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
