Job description

FindTalent is seeking a Project Controller / Cost Analyst to support financial oversight, cost management, and project controls for Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects in the Allentown, PA area. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2โ€“3 days in the office per week, with the remainder remote.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, supporting large-scale utility or infrastructure projects. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on budget and aligned with financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking across multiple T&D projects.
  • Perform cost variance analysis, earned value management (EVM), and financial reporting.
  • Support project billing, invoicing, and change order management.
  • Collaborate with project managers, schedulers, and field teams to ensure accurate cost data and reporting.
  • Analyze project financial performance and provide insights for cost optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Maintain and update cost control systems, reports, and dashboards.
  • Assist with contract review and ensure financial compliance with project requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3โ€“7 years of experience in project controls with a strong focus on cost management / financial analysis.
  • Experience supporting utility, transmission & distribution, or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, and experience with cost management systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost forecasting methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work 2โ€“3 days per week in the Allentown office and collaborate in a hybrid environment.
