This full-time remote position allows for flexibility while ensuring our mental health counselors can effectively engage with patients. Counselors work within a community health clinic framework, leveraging digital platforms for assessments, counseling sessions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. • Conduct in-depth assessments to understand the needs and objectives of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic strategies tailored to individual recovery journeys.
• Deliver one-on-one counseling sessions utilizing motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques to foster engagement and progress.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, promoting peer support and shared experiences among participants.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for each patient.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies related to substance use, ensuring immediate and effective assistance.
• Educate patients and their families on topics related to addiction, recovery strategies, and community resources to enhance their knowledge and support systems.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and standards.
• Actively engage in team discussions, case reviews, and ongoing professional development activities to continuously improve practice standards.
• Stay updated on advancements in substance use disorder treatment through scholarly articles, training sessions, and networking with other professionals.

The ideal candidate will work primarily with adults facing various substance use challenges, spanning from early-stage recovery to long-term management of behavioral health conditions. Our patient base includes individuals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring a dynamic and culturally responsive approach to treatment that considers specific life experiences, socioeconomic factors, and personal goals.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PSYD in Washington State is required.
• Demonstrable understanding of evidence-based practices for addiction treatment and mental health support.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities.

• Prior experience working within substance use disorder treatment settings or community mental health clinics.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and care coordination.
• Background working in a telehealth environment, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively through digital communication.
