Position Overview

Optum Health Psychotherapy Pte. LTD. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. In this full-time remote role, you will play a crucial part in assisting clients who are navigating the challenges of substance use disorders. Your expertise will support individuals and their families on their journey toward recovery, empowering them to achieve lasting change.

About the Organization

At Optum Health Psychotherapy Pte. LTD., we are committed to providing comprehensive services that address the multifaceted nature of addiction. Our approach is founded on evidence-based treatment modalities that encompass both individual and group therapies, aiming to deliver holistic care tailored to each patientโ€™s unique needs. We believe in fostering a supportive and collaborative environment, where each team member contributes to making a significant impact in the lives of those we serve.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, enabling you to work from the comfort of your own home while engaging with clients through advanced telehealth technology. Our virtual setting not only allows for flexibility but also bridges geographical gaps, ensuring that vital mental health services are accessible to individuals in Spokane and beyond. We value a work culture that champions collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, providing the tools you need to thrive in your role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments for clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, determining their individual needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans that employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions, focusing on areas such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
  • Facilitate individual counseling sessions, providing a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and develop coping strategies.
  • Lead group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive atmosphere for individuals to share experiences and learn from one another.
  • Work closely with an interdisciplinary teamโ€”including psychiatrists and addiction specialistsโ€”to ensure that clients receive integrated care, addressing all aspects of their well-being.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services when necessary, responding swiftly to substance-related emergencies to safeguard patientsโ€™ mental health.
  • Educate clients and their families about addiction recovery pathways, coping mechanisms, and available community support resources.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of sessions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines to protect client confidentiality.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to discussions on improving care strategies and patient outcomes.
  • Stay current with the latest research in substance use treatment to continuously enhance your practice and the care provided to clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve are individuals grappling with substance use disorders, which can range from alcohol and opioid dependencies to other forms of addiction. Many clients experience co-occurring mental health issues, such as anxiety or depression, necessitating a holistic and integrated approach. Your role not only involves direct support but also extends to empowering families by providing them with the tools and education needed to support their loved ones in recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
  • Current and valid licensure in the state of Washington as a LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PSYD.
  • Demonstrated experience in substance use disorder counseling is highly preferred, showcasing a deep understanding of addiction and recovery processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster trust and rapport with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work independently while being a proactive team player within our collaborative model.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and providing virtual counseling services.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques, including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches.
  • Previous involvement in training, guiding, or mentoring less experienced colleagues.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Optum Health Psychotherapy Pte. LTD. offers a robust benefits package designed to support your physical and mental well-being, including:

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits covering medical, dental, and vision.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to ensure work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development to advance your skills.
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture that promotes growth and innovation.
