About the Organization

At Optum Health Psychotherapy Pte. LTD., we pride ourselves on providing a spectrum of integrated psychiatric and therapeutic services aimed at substance use disorder treatment. We stand as a beacon of hope and healing for our clients by fostering an environment of compassion and professional support.

Work Environment

The role of Mental Health Counselor is positioned within our outpatient office settingโ€”primarily remoteโ€”with flexibility in work hours. The typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This setup allows for meaningful interactions while ensuring work-life balance, enabling our counselors to deliver optimal care without the constraints of a conventional office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions suited to each client's journey.
  • Lead one-on-one counseling sessions, employing various techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy to facilitate personal growth.
  • Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that encourage mutual support and shared learning among individuals in recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for all patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary, offering immediate support in substance-related emergencies.
  • Advise patients and their families on addiction-related issues, recovery strategies, and access to community resources.
  • Maintain detailed, confidential documentation in adherence to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to foster a collaborative work environment for professional growth and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in substance use disorder treatment to enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily include individuals grappling with substance use disorders, ranging from mild to severe cases. Many clients also present co-occurring mental health conditions that necessitate a holistic approach to treatment and care. As a counselor, you will play a crucial role in breaking down barriers and equipping these individuals with the practical tools and strategies they need for sustainable recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PSYD within the state of Washington.
  • Possession of robust clinical skills and experience working with substance use disorders is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy practices.
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with industry standards.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive salary packages, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • Extensive healthcare benefits to support your physical and mental well-being.
  • A retirement savings plan complete with employer-matching contributions for your financial security.
