Working remotely from Brookhaven, our counselors operate within a comprehensive outpatient framework designed to enhance accessibility to mental health support. Our flexible work hours are structured around our clients’ needs, typically from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional evenings or weekends to ensure that we meet client appointments promptly. • Conducting thorough clinical assessments to accurately determine each client’s mental health needs.
• Developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual client goals, ensuring active involvement from clients in the treatment process.
• Providing individual counseling, couples therapy, and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment teams to offer comprehensive, holistic care, incorporating insights from other mental health professionals when necessary.
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participating in regular clinical supervision and case conferences as well as pursuing professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills.

• A valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) within the state of New York.
• A Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Knowledge of and proficiency in applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques relevant to diverse mental health concerns.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively document client progress and collaborate with team members.

• Experience working with clients facing trauma, addiction, or severe mood disorders.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic models, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or mindfulness-based approaches.
• Previous involvement in community outreach or educational workshops related to mental health awareness.
