What We Are Looking For: Homes.com is currently looking for an experienced SEO professional to join our growing team and to help manage SEO strategies for our residential real estate website, Homes.com, the industry's fastest growing search site. Responsible for supporting efforts to increase the sites' visibility on search engine results page or in AI platforms through optimization - whether on-page, off-page or technically focused. In this position, you will play a key supporting role on the SEO team through data analysis and execution of SEO strategies aimed at elevating the online presence of Homes.com. You will have a firm understanding of SEO fundamentals and experience implementing programmatic solutions. You will recognize that SEO is a team effort and requires a broad organizational understanding. You will be part of the team that will drive that message. This position is located in Irvine, CA and this position is in office Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Serve as one of our in-house, enterprise-level, product-led SEO experts. Develop SEO growth strategies, evangelize the importance of SEO and adhere to SEO best practices within the organization. Provide recommendations for improvement of the site (including site architecture, URL structures, on-page factors, image, video and news optimization, etc.) and oversee the implementation of those recommendations. Continually audit site and performance for SEO related improvements. Track and report against a variety of key performance indicators that demonstrate the effectiveness of the organization's SEO efforts. Work closely with product management, developers, marketing and our content team to assist in traffic generating initiatives across the organization. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in person University or College 7+ years of experience in Search Engine Optimization roles Advanced understanding and knowledge of SEO Best Practices and the latest search engine algorithm updates. This includes vertical search services such as image search, video search, news search, etc. Solid understanding of Google's content and quality guidelines, including E-E-A-T and structured content best practices, to ensure content meets search standards and performs in organic results. Familiarity with AEO and its relationship to modern SEO, including structuring content for AI-generated answers and enhanced search visibility. Proven ability to develop strategies and manage projects which will drive organic search traffic to the site;proven track record in managing SEO projects from inception to completion. Able to work cross-functionally with Product, Development, Design and other teams to streamline execution of projects. Must be data driven, with the ability to identify actionable insights from largedatasets, create reports to track and analyze SEO performance. Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools such SEMRUSH, Conductor, BrightEdge and Ahrefs. Able to keep ahead of the latest search industry trends and algorithm changes and align current and future projects with those developments. Familiarity with web development platforms and languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Proven track record assuming ownership, moving quickly to implement ideas, and delivering results and in a fast-paced online environment. A track record of commitment to prior employers Preferred Qualifications Experience managing SEO for large-scale, consumer-facing marketplace websites (10-25 million pages indexed), with a focus on driving scalable organic traffic growth. Product management, project management, software development and/or analytics experience a plus. Experience with log analysis tools such as Botify or DeepCrawl.
