Optician Assistants are professionals who support opticians and optometrists in eye care practices. They help customers choose eyeglass frames and lenses, perform basic vision tests, handle appointments, and manage administrative tasks like billing and record-keeping. While they don't perform eye exams, they play an essential role in ensuring patients receive the right eyewear and have a positive experience. Training is usually provided on the job, and strong customer service skills are important for this role.

Do you need a degree to be an optician assistant?
