Job Summary
We are a small family business that is expanding and needs someone to assist us with Data Entry.  You will primarily be using a tablet to upload and enter in all inventory. Your responsibilities may include verifying data, updating existing information, entering new information, creating spreadsheets, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is a fast and accurate typist with attention to detail and computer skills. Knowledge of how to use a scanning device is ideal. In some instances you will be working closely with team members outside of the state via face time. Willing to train the right applicant. We are looking for the ideal candidate to fill a 20-30 hour work week. We are NOT open evening hours. Our business primarily operates 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities 
  • Use a keyboard, optical scanners, or other office equipment to transfer information into the database system
  • Collect information directly from customers and enter information into the database 
  • Create accurate spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
  • Confirm accuracy of data by comparing to original documents
  • Scan in new product in
  • Perform regular backups of data
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Previous experience as a Data Entry Clerk or in a similar position is preferred
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment such as fax machines and printers
  • Good communication skills are essential
  • Attention to detail
