People in Ops positions are responsible for ensuring processes run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively, often handling logistics, process improvements, and problem-solving. Ops can exist in many industries, including tech, finance, retail, and logistics, and may involve tasks like workflow management, data analysis, and cross-team coordination. The ultimate goal of Ops roles is to support organizational goals by improving productivity and operational performance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an operations specialist?

To thrive as an Operations Specialist, you need strong analytical skills, process optimization knowledge, and typically a degree in business, operations management, or a related field. Familiarity with ERP systems, workflow automation tools, and data analysis software like Excel or SAP is usually required.
