Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate equipment to meet production requirements.

  • Comply with safety, quality, maintenance, and housekeeping requirements.

  • Read and interpret work orders to understand machine set up requirements.

  • Enter product data in Seltrol.

  • Identify paper grades, widths, and types of glue and their applications.

  • Prepare mandrels and adjust as necessary for each work order using hand tools.

  • Operate auxiliary equipment such as perforators, and date coders.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure compliance to specifications.

  • Adhere to OPEX recordkeeping requirements.

  • Demonstrate self-motivation, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team.

  • Follow specific quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Comply with company policies and guidelines.

  • Performs other tasks as required.


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is typically required and 1-2 years of relevant experience with the winder, saw, or other related equipment


Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to read a tape measure, convert fractions to decimals, and use a caliper.

  • Understand lean tools including 5-Whys, Fishbone, 5S, and SMED.

  • Dependable and availability to work overtime as required.

  • Excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $19.23 - $30.77. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $19.23 to $30.77. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
