Slitter Helper – Sheffield Steel Inc. (Macedonia, OH)
 
Sheffield Steel Inc., a trusted name in the steel processing industry, is looking for a reliable and hardworking Slitter Helper to join our team at our Macedonia, Ohio facility. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and want to build a career in a fast-paced industrial environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
·        Assist the Slitter Operator in setting up and operating slitting equipment.
·        Prepare, tag, and package finished coils according to customer specifications.
·        Inspect materials for quality and report any issues to the operator or supervisor.
·        Maintain a clean and organized work area.
·        Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
·        Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
·        Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
·        Basic mechanical ability and comfort working with tools and machinery.
·        Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
·        Must be able to stand for long periods and lift to 50 lbs.
·        High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
·        Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus.
