Requirements
Essential Functions
  • Perform routine, preventative maintenance such as change oil, check batteries, and lubricate equipment and machinery.
  • Assist mechanics with repairs.
  • Follow procedures to fuel and park CDL required vehicles. Drive, fuel, and park on company property only.
  • Repair and/or install tires.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, place unused tools and equipment in designated areas.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • High degrees of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team member within the scope of established rules and regulations.
  • Ability to drive in a safe, competent manner a vehicle that is 27 feet to 42 feet in length on company property only.
  • Ability to determine the type of tool and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Must have basic math skills.

Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Mechanical background helpful.

Other Requirements
  • Must pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing.
  • Valid FL Driver's License with acceptable driving record for the past three years.
  • Must supply own hand tools and toolboxes.
