Job description


I. Job Summary
Delivers, assesses and coaches the designated training curricula according to the needs of the organization as determined by the leadership and training teams. Completes the final evaluation and conducts the final coaching session to determine participants performance rating.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Models professional behavior at all times and continually communicates behavioral expectations to trainees.
  • Reports schedule, participant attendance, and observations to the Training Coordinator to maintain accurate training records.
  • Delivers curricula demonstrating adult and accelerated learning techniques/principles.
  • Uses observation and feedback to assess, coach and improve trainee performance during classroom and course exercises.
  • Provides feedback from classroom and course activities for final trainee evaluations. Completes final evaluations and conducts final coaching session with trainees at the completion of training.
  • Maintains knowledge of training or company procedures through reading and interpreting general business periodicals and professional journals.
  • Communicates with other driver trainers and field managers about operations, trainee issues, and training needs to perform job.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

III. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree,
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years of work experience.
  • 1 year of previous driving experience in the trucking industry (in addition to education requirement).
