Job description

The Manager of Operations Support - APS Mobilizations role is responsible for the tactical delivery of managing workstreams, deliverables and tasks detailed in the APS Mobilization template used to launch all new APS client contracts.  The role will provide subject-matter expertise to ensure adherence to ABM standards and industry best practices, driving compliance and offering clear guidance to operations teams and mobilization colleagues in support of the new contract and client. The Manager is expected to be a continuous learner who actively monitors industry trends, ABM processes changes, evolving client needs, and operational performance. 

The Manager of Operations Support - APS Mobilizations reports to the Senior Manager of Operations - APS Mobilization Support and works closely with the APS Platform Team and APS Portfolio Leads. This role is responsible for setting up and executing the APS service delivery model for new client contracts (from Letter of Intent or signed contract) through stabilization and ongoing operations in collaboration with the Client Experience and Ops Support Program Manager.

Travel regularly (up to 75%) to support mobilization oversight, assessments, and operational leadership needs.

Pay: $103,000 - $130,000 

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

  • Associate's degree in a related engineering field, former apprenticeship program, or technical trade school
  • Minimum of 5 years in Facility Service or Building Management (Portfolio/Multi-Site Contract Management preferred)

  • Lead and oversee all mobilization workstreams to ensure deliverables, timelines, staffing plans, and operational readiness requirements are met.
  • Direct cross-functional mobilization teams, ensuring alignment of people, processes, and systems during client onboarding and operational start-up.
  • Provide high-level operational interpretation of contracts, scopes of work, and service-level expectations to ensure proper execution.
  • Conduct enterprise-level operational assessments, readiness audits, and gap analyses to mitigate risks and ensure Day-1 readiness.

CMMS Implementation, Technology Governance & Data Integrity

  • Lead the strategic deployment and governance of CMMS platforms (Corrigo, Maximo, Brightly, Plant Log, etc.) across APS Industry Groups.
  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of CMMS data, asset hierarchies, and operational metadata.
  • Direct the development of Preventative Maintenance programs, SOPs, inspections, and JHAs.
  • Provide leadership during asset inventories, validation, and tagging to ensure accurate asset registers.
  • Govern CMMS reporting structures, KPI dashboards, SLA reporting, and analytics.
  • Drive continuous improvement of CMMS utilization and adoption across APS operations.
  • Oversee CMMS training strategies and ensure field teams are equipped for success.

Facilities Operations Leadership (Hard & Soft Services)

  • Provide strategic operational expertise across Hard Services (HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, engineering) and Soft Services (janitorial, MAC, mailroom, landscaping, waste management).
  • Ensure alignment of all mobilized service delivery models with ABM IFS standards, client expectations, and best practices.
  • Guide teams in developing operational plans and service structures to support long-term success.

Vendor & Subcontractor Governance

  • Oversee vendor and subcontractor onboarding and ensure compliance with contractual and ABM standards.
  • Monitor vendor performance and support corrective action planning when required.
  • Provide oversight of subcontractor invoices, scopes, renewals, and service verification to ensure financial and operational alignment.

Quality, Compliance & Performance Management

  • Lead the development and governance of quality processes and operational standards.
  • Oversee SLA/KPI monitoring and reporting to ensure compliance with client and organizational expectations.
  • Provide strategic input into proposals, operational modeling, staffing, and cost structure development for new business.
  • Ensure physical and digital resources are properly managed to support mobilization success.

Talent, Workforce Readiness & Organizational Support

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR to ensure timely recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training for mobilization needs.
