Job description

SUMMARYย 

The Catering Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shift operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery. This role directly supervises frontline employees and leads, supports operational execution, and ensures all work is completed in accordance with company, airline, and regulatory standards.ย 

RESPONSIBILITIESย 

  • Supervise daily activities of Catering Transport Drivers, Leads, and operational staffย 
  • Provide direction, support, and real-time problem resolution during shiftsย 
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as neededย 
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new employeesย 
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to company policiesย 
  • Oversee aircraft servicing and ensure on-time, accurate, and safe operationsย 
  • Coordinate shift activities to meet operational demands and service expectationsย 
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with airline SOPs and SLAsย 
  • Support scheduling execution and ensure proper staffing levels during shiftsย 
  • Step in and perform operational duties as neededย 
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, operational, and regulatory requirementsย 
  • Monitor use of PPE and adherence to safety proceduresย 
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of required documentation (DFRs, catering logs, vehicle inspections)ย 
  • Report and escalate operational or safety concernsย 
  • Support incident reporting and ensure timely documentation (e.g.,ย GPET)ย 
  • Monitor operational performance and address service gaps in real timeย ย 
  • Conduct routine checks and audits to ensure compliance and quality standardsย ย 
  • Communicate operational updates, delays, and issues to leadershipย ย 
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the operationย ย 
  • Assist with shift scheduling and labor coordinationย ย 
  • Support tracking of attendance, productivity, and performance metricsย ย 
  • Participate in team meetings and operational briefingsย ย 
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by managementย 

QUALIFICATIONSย 

  • Minimum 18 years of ageย 
  • 1โ€“3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferredย 
  • Valid driverโ€™s license (in good standing)ย 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employmentย 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airport, security, and regulatory clearances applicable to the location (e.g., TSA, FAA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, U.S. Postal Service, RAIC)ย 
  • Ability to operate ground service equipment (catering trucks, forklifts, etc.)ย 
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidaysย 
  • Must successfully complete all required training and certificationsย
