Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for attracting, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent across a variety of positions, including production, skilled trades, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and corporate support functions.

The ideal candidate has experience recruiting in a manufacturing environment, understands the challenges of hiring hourly and salaried employees, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. This individual will partner closely with hiring managers to develop effective recruiting strategies while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.


Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from requisition through onboarding
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and hiring priorities
  • Develop sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for hourly, skilled trades, technical, and professional positions
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Extend employment offers and negotiate compensation within established guidelines

Talent Sourcing

  • Source candidates using job boards, social media, networking, employee referrals, career fairs, trade schools, and community partnerships
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs
  • Utilize proactive recruiting techniques to reduce time-to-fill and improve candidate quality
  • Develop relationships with local workforce agencies, technical colleges, and vocational schools

Hiring Manager Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
  • Provide guidance on interviewing techniques, candidate evaluation, and hiring best practices
  • Communicate recruiting metrics, hiring progress, and market trends
  • Ensure timely communication with hiring managers and candidates

Candidate Experience & Onboarding

  • Deliver a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and pre-employment requirements
  • Prepare offer letters and employment documentation
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires

Recruitment Operations

  • Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Track recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and quality of hire
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, equal employment opportunity (EEO) guidelines, and company hiring policies
  • Maintain recruiting reports and documentation

Employer Branding

  • Represent the company at job fairs, recruiting events, and community outreach initiatives
  • Promote the company's culture, career opportunities, and employee value proposition
  • Assist with workforce planning and talent acquisition initiatives to support organizational growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment
  • Experience recruiting for hourly production, skilled trades, maintenance, engineering, and corporate positions
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
