Job description

Job Title: Guidewire PolicyCenter QA Engineer Overview / Summary We are seeking an experienced Guidewire QA Engineer with strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance to ensure the quality and reliability of Guidewire implementations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of Guidewire applications, along with a strong understanding of PolicyCenter business processes, Agile methodologies, and software testing best practices. Guidewire Cloud experience and certifications are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to develop comprehensive test strategies and test cases. Perform functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support for Guidewire PolicyCenter. Validate PolicyCenter configurations, product model changes, workflows, underwriting rules, and business processes. Execute test scenarios covering policy lifecycle transactions, including submissions, quotes, issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements. Coordinate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure complete test coverage and timely defect resolution. Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools. Participate in Sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives in Agile/Scrum environments. Perform integration testing with external systems and third-party applications. Support test data preparation, test environment validation, and production verification activities. Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test execution reports, and quality metrics. Participate in release validation and production deployment support activities. Ensure adherence to Guidewire QA standards, testing best practices, and organizational quality processes. Required Qualifications 6–8 years of overall IT experience. Minimum 4+ years of hands-on testing experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter. Strong functional knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter (v10 or later preferred). Must possess Guidewire Certification in any Guidewire InsuranceSuite application (PolicyCenter certification preferred). Experience in at least one end-to-end Guidewire Greenfield implementation. Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain. Experience performing: Functional Testing System Testing Integration Testing Regression Testing End-to-End Testing UAT Support Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments. Experience using: Azure DevOps (ADO) JIRA Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Project SharePoint Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Guidewire Cloud Certification (PolicyCenter Cloud or related Guidewire Cloud certification). Experience working on Guidewire Cloud implementations or migrations. Experience with Guidewire Cloud testing and validation of cloud-based deployments. Knowledge of Guidewire integrations and end-to-end testing across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, ReadyAPI, or similar. Experience with SQL for backend data validation and troubleshooting.
