We are looking to add a Senior Technical Program Manager, Hardware Strategy & Operations to work on-site with our client, a world-class electronics company. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.

Role Summary

The Senior Technical Program Manager, Hardware Strategy & Operations combines technical program management, leadership operations, and portfolio planning for the Advanced Technology Labs Hardware organization. The individual will partner closely with the Hardware VP and leadership team to drive execution of critical technical initiatives, support technology investment and resource planning decisions, and establish the operating mechanisms needed to align resources, decisions, and organizational priorities.

This role requires a strong blend of technical credibility, operational excellence, business judgment, and cross-functional leadership. The successful candidate will help ensure key organizational priorities are aligned, executed, and delivered while supporting long-term technology and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Technical Program Execution

  • Lead program management for critical hardware technology initiatives, managing risks and establishing frameworks to ensure effective cross-functional alignment and execution.
  • Facilitate coordination among R&D, Finance, Product Planning, Manufacturing, HR, and business organizations to drive execution of strategic initiatives and commitments.
  • Track key actions, decisions, risks, and dependencies across the Hardware organization and drive timely resolution and follow-through.
  • Establish and maintain operating cadences, reviews, and governance mechanisms that improve organizational execution and accountability.
  • Develop program plans, milestones, metrics, and executive-level reporting to provide visibility into organizational priorities and progress.

Leadership Operations and Organizational Effectiveness

  • Partner with the Hardware VP and leadership team to drive annual planning processes, operating reviews, budget management, capital expenditure planning, and workforce planning activities.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination across the Hardware leadership team, ensuring alignment, follow-through, and execution of key organizational priorities.
  • Develop and maintain organizational operating mechanisms, leadership reviews, metrics, dashboards, and governance processes that improve visibility, accountability, and execution.
  • Manage organizational communications, business updates, leadership presentations, and executive review materials for internal and executive audiences.
  • Support organizational planning activities including hiring plans, headcount management, resource allocation, organizational health metrics, and investment tracking.
  • Craft targeted communications for diverse stakeholder audiences on key business and technology initiatives.

Technology Strategy and Portfolio Planning

  • Partner with senior leadership to support prioritization of Advanced Technology Labs hardware technology investments and initiatives.
  • Provide analytical support for program, headcount, capital, and budget prioritization discussions across the Hardware organization.
  • Develop data-driven insights and business cases to support investment decisions and organizational priorities.
  • Monitor industry and technology trends, competitive offerings, and market opportunities relevant to the hardware technology portfolio.
  • Support evaluation of external partnerships, licensing opportunities, and corporate development activities that complement technology roadmap and strategic objectives.

This critical position will significantly influence Advanced Technology Labs hardware investments, operations, and technology roadmaps, helping accelerate innovation and strengthen technology leadership.

Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Experience developing semiconductor, IC/ASIC, packaging, interconnect, photonics, or related hardware technologies.
  • 7+ years of experience within technology organizations, with experience in technical program management, R&D operations, business operations, engineering management, or similar roles.
  • Strong technical foundation and ability to work effectively with engineers, researchers, and technical leaders.
  • Proven ability to drive alignment, coordinate across functions, and deliver results in complex organizational environments.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ambiguity.
  • Experience supporting planning activities, including budgets, capital investments, headcount management, resource allocation, and operational reviews.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, leadership, and executive stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with strong execution skills, sound judgment, and a demonstrated track record of turning ideas into results.
