Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
ABOUT THE TEAM
  • The Security Operations Team consists of Security infrastructure, guard force operations, and crisis management. Our mission is to safeguard Anduril's people, assets, and operations through integrated security solutions that encompass proactive risk management, crisis preparedness, actionable threat intelligence, thorough investigations, executive protection, and 24/7 global monitoring. We are committed to anticipating and mitigating risks, responding immediately to incidents, and fostering a resilient security culture that enables Anduril to innovate and operate confidently in a dynamic global environment.
About the Role
  • Anduril is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Physical Security Operations to shape and drive enterprise security strategy across our growing network of sites. In this role, you will serve as a recognized security expert, influencing company-wide security posture, driving operational excellence, and ensuring alignment with Anduril's global security standards. You will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to anticipate emerging threats, establish governance frameworks, and balance regulatory compliance with the demands of a fast-paced operational environment.
  • This role is ideal for a seasoned security leader who thrives at the intersection of strategic vision and tactical execution, and who is energized by the opportunity to build security programs that scale with a rapidly growing defense technology company.
What You'll Do
  • Shape Enterprise Security Strategy: Develop, drive, and continuously refine physical security strategy across multiple sites, ensuring consistent alignment with Anduril's global security standards and business objectives.
  • Drive Security Excellence Across Regions: Influence company-wide security posture by establishing standards and best practices that scale across geographically distributed operations.
  • Develop Policies and Governance Frameworks: Lead the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide physical security policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), post orders, and governance frameworks. Ensure policies are clearly documented, effectively communicated, consistently enforced, and regularly reviewed to reflect evolving threats, business growth, and regulatory changes.
  • Support CUI and ITAR Compliance: Partner with Government Security, Legal, and Trade Compliance teams to ensure physical security controls appropriately safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and ITAR-controlled materials. Draft and implement Technology Control Plans (TCPs), ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, effective rollout across sites, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Conduct Physical Security Vulnerability Assessments (PSVAs): Plan, execute, and review comprehensive PSVAs across sites to identify risks, evaluate existing controls, and recommend mitigation strategies. Translate assessment findings into actionable remediation plans and capital investment proposals, and track closure of identified vulnerabilities to completion.
  • Manage Contract Guard Force Operations: Provide oversight and administration of contract guard force programs, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Ensure vendor performance, accountability, post coverage, training standards, and cost effectiveness across all sites.
  • Own Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop, manage, and forecast operating (OpEx) and capital (CapEx) budgets for the Physical Security Operations program. Build business cases and ROI analyses for security investments, manage purchase orders and vendor invoicing, track actuals against forecasts, and partner with Finance and Procurement to ensure fiscal discipline, cost optimization, and alignment with broader corporate financial objectives.
  • Establish and Track KPIs, SLAs, and Metrics: Build and maintain a robust performance measurement framework for the Security Operations team. Define meaningful KPIs, SLAs, and metrics; develop dashboards and reporting cadences; and use data-driven insights to drive accountability, continuous improvement, and informed decision-making at the leadership level.
  • Lead Complex Security Programs: Address multi-faceted security challenges that require deep technical acumen, by evaluating emerging threats, operational efficiency, technical constraints, and strategic business priorities.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Balance regulatory adherence (DoD, DCSA, NISPOM, ITAR, CUI, OSHA, and other applicable frameworks) with operational excellence, ensuring all sites meet or exceed compliance requirements.
  • Provide Thought Leadership: Serve as a recognized security expert and trusted advisor to senior leadership, contributing to high-impact, cross-functional initiatives and influencing decisions on security investments, standards, and strategic direction.
  • Anticipate Future Needs: Apply conceptual and forward-thinking analysis to anticipate evolving security needs, mitigate emerging risks, and position Anduril ahead of the threat landscape.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Facilities, IT, Legal, HR, EHS, Finance, Procurement, and Government Security teams to deliver integrated security solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in physical security, security operations, or a related discipline, with significant exposure to complex, multi-site, or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise across multiple specialized security disciplines, including physical security operations, regulatory compliance, and security governance.
  • Proven track record of shaping and driving enterprise-level security strategy across multiple sites or regions.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and governing physical security policies, standards, and SOPs at the enterprise level.
  • Strong familiarity with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and ITAR compliance requirements, including drafting and implementing Technology Control Plans (TCPs).
  • Hands-on experience conducting and reviewing Physical Security Vulnerability Assessments (PSVAs) and translating findings into actionable mitigation plans.
  • Significant experience managing contract guard force programs, including MSA/SOW administration, vendor performance management, and KPI/SLA oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and managing security program budgets, including OpEx/CapEx planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to define, track, and report on KPIs, SLAs, financial performance, and operational metrics.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and advise senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or higher).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Industry certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Deep familiarity with NISPOM, DCSA requirements, ITAR, EAR, CUI, and DoD physical security standards.
