Job description

We seek a Program Manager to join our Price Operations Execution Team supporting Whole Foods Market stores. In this role, you will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of Point of Sale (POS) promotion programs to ensure customers receive accurate discounts and promotional pricing across all stores.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end program management for complex Point of Sale promotion initiatives across Whole Foods Market stores.
• Drive cross-functional coordination between merchandising, marketing, technology, and store operations teams to implement pricing strategies.
• Manage promotion calendars, timelines, and dependencies to ensure on-time delivery of promotional campaigns.
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate promotion effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain program documentation, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to promotion execution, escalating issues as needed.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex POS promotion execution issues impacting multiple stores or systems.
• Partner with technical teams to drive system enhancements and process improvements.
• Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders at various levels.
A day in the life
As a Program Manager on the Price Operations Execution Team, your typical day includes:
• Starting your morning by reviewing program dashboards and ticketing queues to assess the health of ongoing promotion campaigns and identify any critical issues.
• Leading regular standups or check-ins with cross-functional teams to align on priorities and remove blockers.
• Managing the promotion calendar and coordinating with merchandising teams to ensure upcoming sales events are properly planned and resourced.
• Facilitating troubleshooting sessions when complex promotion execution issues arise, bringing together the right stakeholders to drive resolution.
• Updating program documentation and communicating status to stakeholders across the organization.
• Identifying process improvement opportunities and working with technical teams to implement solutions that enhance promotion execution efficiency.
About the team
The Price Operations Execution Team ensures accurate and timely implementation of pricing strategies across Whole Foods Market stores. We work closely with merchandising, marketing, tech, and store operations teams to deliver a seamless customer experience while maintaining pricing integrity. Our team values collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- • 2+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
- • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive business decisions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
- • Experience managing cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders
- • Experience developing program metrics and reporting on program health
- • Experience writing program charters, requirements documents, and process documentation
- • PMP or similar program management certification

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
