Responsible for contributing to the definition, development, and execution of the Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) for various aspects of Retail, Supply, Delivery, and related operations. Ensures the stores and regions understand, implement, and adhere to the global policies and procedures. Monitors the local operations, identifying patterns, trends, and areas for improvement, working with cross-region and global stakeholders to ensure local consideration in broader initiatives and programs. Communicates, educates, and trains store and regional Team Leaders and Team Members in SOP implementation and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Provides Retail Operations support across broad regional areas.
- Engages with the appropriate internal stakeholders to develop, implement, and assess performance of various SOPs, including:
- Labor and merchandising standards – for Purchasing and Category Management,
- Retail operating procedures – for Store Operations,
- Order-to-Shelf (OTS) program procedures – for OTS.
- Significantly contributes to the design, creation, and execution of new processes to ensure better labor utilization and enhanced shrink control.
- Coordinates the dissemination of processes and training plans for new initiatives and special functions.
- Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Remains aware of and informs leadership of emerging trends. Makes process improvement recommendations based on the emerging trends.
- Supports the implementation of functional process improvement initiatives.
Skills:
- Good understanding of the core retail functions, including strategy, financial planning, assortment planning, promotional planning, and pricing.
- Good understanding of supplier, distributor, and Logistics processes and key performance indicators.
- Good financial and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of the WFM customer trends, buying behavior, and the evolving competitive landscape.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management, and workflow management software.
- Communicates structured information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion.
- Collaborates with others to achieve objectives and ensure information flow.
- Effectively presents information and responds to questions in both one-on-one situations and group meetings.
- Impacts the overall team effectiveness.
- May provide informal support to the less experienced Team Members.
- Builds relationships with the senior-level third-party stakeholders and leaders.
- Advanced understanding of the standard project management methodologies and requirements.
- Advanced ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects.
- Oversees and advises on project management issues and assists with overcoming barriers.
- Keeps multiple projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with the stakeholder’s deadlines.
- Understands customer, market, and industry trends and emerging challenges.
- Applies business and operations understanding to focus team efforts.
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the WFM product mix, supply base, and retail operations.
Education & Experience:
- BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
The wage range for this position is $77,111.00-$131,089.00 Annual, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
