Job description

HVAC Operations Manager

Location: Spokane, WA and Hayden, ID (approximately 50/50 between both locations)

Compensation: $45 - $55 per hour + Performance Incentives

Legacy Heating & Cooling is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced HVAC Operations Manager to help drive our continued growth. With installation representing the majority of our business, we're seeking a leader who understands commercial and industrial HVAC projects, develops high-performing teams, and creates efficient processes that keep projects moving safely, on time, and on budget.

This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who excels at building accountability, supporting field teams, and improving operational performance across multiple departments.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily operations across our Spokane and Hayden locations
  • Oversee installation, service, warehouse, and office teams, with a primary focus on installation operations
  • Coach and develop managers, supervisors, and field personnel
  • Improve scheduling, staffing, and operational workflows to maximize productivity
  • Partner with ownership to execute strategic initiatives and support company growth
  • Monitor KPIs, budgets, and operational performance to drive continuous improvement
  • Coordinate communication between departments to ensure successful project delivery
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and employee development
  • Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in commercial or industrial HVAC operations
  • Strong commercial and industrial HVAC installation experience required
  • Proven success managing multiple teams and complex projects
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Experience managing KPIs, budgets, and P&L performance
  • Strong computer proficiency and business systems experience
  • Ability to build relationships with field teams, customers, vendors, and leadership
  • Comfortable leading in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
