Wieland is hiring a Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational results of the business entity, including day-to-day areas of safety, quality, delivery, and financial performance of the reporting departments. In addition, the Operations Manager is responsible to execute the Business Units' Strategies to achieve the Goals of the entity. Implementing the company's vision, driving Continuous Improvement for future growth and success of the company. This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site.
Responsibilities
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
  • Satisfy customer expectations for quality, delivery and performance of products and services.
  • Assure performance to annual operational performance objectives of the organization.
  • Align entities results and strategy with the overall corporate strategic vision.
  • Reinforce the company's core cultural values and set a positive personal example to the team to optimize behavioral and performance expectations.
  • Develop the employees to foster continuous improvement.
  • Establish a culture of Lean Thinking and processes.
  • Promote a Safety culture; Set a positive Safety Leadership example.
  • Increase production, maximize equipment availability while minimizing unnecessary inventory/costs and improve current quality standards.
  • Allocate resources effectively and develop employee skills to have a highly flexible workforce.
  • Ensure retention of key members, identify, and develop new talents of the core operating team.
  • Align priorities, communicate expectations, and progress, and effectively manage individuals as well as team performance.
  • Monitor KPI's and triggers corrective and improvement actions on a continuous basis.

Operations Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or courses in Engineering/Operations/Management or other related fields.
  • 5-10 years of management experience in manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of a safety-oriented leadership style that leads to success.
  • Strong background in Strategic Planning and problem solving.
  • The personality to manage change throughout all departments and levels.
  • Demonstrated skills in continuous improvement & extensive knowledge of LEAN tools and techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven work experience in Heat Exchanger manufacturing.
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people-management skills
  • High level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
