Job description

  1. Serves as an adaptable, floating team member providing flexible compliance, documentation, and operational support across JOG’s service area, with primary location assignments at Next Step.
  2. Fills temporary coverage and staffing gaps, assists with data and documentation clean-up projects, and provides critical backup during high-volume periods.
  3. Serves primarily out of Next Step facility while traveling to Trumbull and Mahoning Valley at least once per month or as needed.
  4. Maintains ongoing flexibility to support floating coverage and shifting operational needs across other counties (Summit, Stark, Medina, and Ashland) as needed.
  5. Responsible for essential documentation that supports participant eligibility, program progress, and performance across all assigned JOG counties and programs.
  6. Provides assistance with the tracking of active and follow-up participants associated with funding sources and appropriate documentation.
  7. Corresponds frequently with county designees, staff, and management to ensure proper participant information, updates, and documentation are shared seamlessly across regions.
  8. Works closely with the Contract Compliance and Performance Manager to ensure deadlines are met, operational bottlenecks are reduced, and documentation standards remain consistent across all counties.
  9. Screens required documentation and case notes to ensure audit readiness and contract compliance across multiple county frameworks.
  10. Perform all other duties as assigned to support organizational efficiency and cross-county operational consistency.


Position Requirements:

  1. Local, daytime travel required across JOG's multi-county service area (primary base at Next Step facilities, monthly or as-needed travel to Trumbull/Mahoning Valley, plus coverage across Summit, Stark, Medina, and Ashland as needed).
  2. Flexible work hours and work location adaptability.
  3. Computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and online database management systems.
  4. Strong organizational skills, adaptability, detail orientation, and multi-tasking capabilities across different regional requirements.
  5. Preferred training or experience in the following areas:
    • Business Administration, Communication, Teaching, Social Work, Human Resource Management, Career Development, Job Placement/Development, Employment and Vocational, Counseling’ Career Guidance, Vocational Education, Community Service Administration.  Work experience with private sector or disadvantaged youth

Educational Requirements:

•       Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or four to six years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
