Job description

Overview
SUMMARY:
It is the responsibility of the Restaurant Manager to manage a high-volume restaurant in an efficient and professional manner, and to ensure the quality of products served and superior service to guests. The Manager must understand, monitor and create an impact on operation profitability while ensuring all employees maintain excellent customer service standards. Interact with other Food and Beverage Managers, and other Department Heads to help outlet operations proceed smoothly. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities
  • Must Influence positive outlet performance and seek to exceed budgeted goals by monitoring all daily sales, ordering/par levels, costs for outlet, etcetera.
  • Strive to improve Restaurant operations by focusing on the following areas:
  • maximizing revenue
  • creating, implementing and modifying marketing plan(s) for outlet, with approval of Food and Beverage Management
  • reducing labor expense(s) based on business levels
  • Ensure all employees maintain quality standards and follow established service procedures, including all Golden Nugget, Saltgrass, Health & Safety standards, as well as other rules and procedures designated by management.
  • Responsible for accurate scheduling of all positions/all shifts.
  • Detail oriented, able to distinguish and prioritize areas of opportunity.
  • Exceptional cash handling skills and organization.
  • Knowledgeable and responsible for auditing all comps and voids; including, casino and restaurant comps, voids, coupons, rewards cards, discount cards, promotions and ensure all comp procedures are followed and limits are utilized while maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Requisition and review daily supplies and inventory to maintain approved par levels.
  • Responsible for counseling and disciplining all employees, including supervisory staff, if necessary.
  • Maintain consistency when enforcing Departmental policies.
  • Be a positive and impactful motivator for employee morale, employee development, and employee ability to provide excellent service.
  • Must be accessible and available to department employees. Also, help employees prepare for future advancement opportunities by monitoring all Claim Jumper employee training.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Aloha and/or other POS system operations.
  • Be willing and capable of covering any deficiency in the restaurant at any time.
  • Consistently demonstrate excellent people skills, both in dealing with guests, as well as employees.
  • Handle customer complaints on a one-to-one basis. Remain available and on call 24 hours.
  • Control the door, be informed of different comp-slips, coupons and procedures involved.
  • Communicate with maintenance/engineering to ensure quality physical appearance of outlet.
  • Complete other/special projects for Food and Beverage management, including assimilating and forwarding necessary information and employee licenses to F&B Office and/or Human Resources.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to manage employees, training and coaching skills with evidence of developing exceptionally motivated teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results
  • Technology savvy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's or related degree preferred.
  • 5 years' experience.
  • Minimum age requirement is 21.
