Section 472) SHIFT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION HAVASU LANDING CASINO DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATION REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 21 years or older Must pass a pre-employment drug test Must qualify for gaming license Cannot be convicted of a felony Preferred bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Hospitality, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience At least 5 years of senior management hospitality/casino operations experience Prior experience in Tribal Gaming preferred Technical training and/or experience in table games is required with priority being Blackjack and 3-card Poker including knowing the payouts for said games, normal advantage play strategies as well as what to watch for regarding suspicious activities from a patron or dealer Thorough knowledge of Title 31, CTRC, and SAR regulations Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills Outstanding analytical and decision-making skills Strong organization and administration skills required Ability to work under pressure situations with a friendly, approachable and customer service-oriented demeanor Ability to adjust to and manage change effectively Must be able to work flexible shifts - willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the General Manager (GM) in the responsibilities of day-to-day casino operations, working closely with the management team to ensure maximum profitability while staying within the budget, and assisting in the overall maintenance and improvement of strategic planning and marketing strategies for the casino operations as a whole Oversee all facets of the casino operation up to and including Gaming, Food & Beverage, Security, Maintenance, Cage, employee relations, and any other items that may present themselves Responsible for assisting the GM in leading the corporate culture and for keeping high standards with patrons of the casino. Must have a working knowledge of all departments as well as policies and procedures for said departments.

Responsible for assisting the GM in the primary duties including ensuring the casino and all of its employees comply with Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS), all policies and procedures, and ensuring the casino earns a profit Ensures compliance with company standards and gaming regulations Serve as company representative in dealing with Tribal and state officials, the community, and the media in the GM's absence Assist the GM and ensure all legal requirements for the operation are met and internal controls maintained Assist the GM in dealing with patron complaints and suggestions Expulsion of troublesome patrons and explanation of rules and policies Monitor activities on the casino floor Working in conjunction with the Table Games Supervisor, determine the staffing levels and open tables based on business demands Cover for the Table Games Supervisor while the supervisor is on breaks or as needed All other duties as assigned PUBLIC RELATIONS: Important attributes of any employee of the Havasu Landing Casino, along with the official performance of duties, are personal appearance and public relations. Each employee is expected to make every effort to be well-informed about the casino, pleasant, courteous, and cooperative, and to act in a manner to command respect of co-workers and all other personnel. An optimistic attitude, patience and tolerance will help each employee in nearly all situations at the casino.
