Now Hiring: Shop Foreman / Parts & Fleet Operations Manager

AJ Construction, Inc.

Richland, Mississippi (Jackson Metro Area)

AJ Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman / Parts & Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our maintenance facility and manage the inventory and procurement of parts, supplies, tools, and equipment needed to keep our construction operations running efficiently.

This is a leadership position for someone who is highly organized, mechanically knowledgeable, and capable of coordinating maintenance activities while ensuring our shop operates at a high level.

Pay

Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the company maintenance shop

Supervise mechanics and prioritize repair schedules

Coordinate preventative maintenance for the companys fleet

Manage inventory of:

o Heavy equipment parts

o Truck and trailer parts

o Asphalt plant parts

o Aggregate plant parts

o Tires, filters, oils, lubricants, and shop supplies

o Welding, safety, and maintenance supplies

Order parts and supplies while maintaining proper inventory levels

Build and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing when possible

Receive, organize, and track incoming inventory

Maintain accurate inventory records and control costs

Coordinate equipment repairs to minimize downtime

Ensure shop cleanliness, organization, and safety

Work closely with management, project managers, and field personnel to support daily operations

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in heavy equipment, trucking, or construction maintenance

Leadership or supervisory experience

Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, diesel trucks, trailers, and asphalt construction equipment

Experience with inventory control and purchasing

Strong computer skills and the ability to manage inventory software

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
