Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily management of several parking facilities. This position delivers company, client and customer expectations by ensuring the facility is operating in accordance with company policy and client expectations. This person is also responsible for recruiting, scheduling, and managing the performance of the hourly workforce assigned to the facility.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Directs and manages all frontline associates, including supervisors, cashiers, valets, attendants, and custodians on a daily basis.
  2. Always maintains proper staffing levels to ensure customer service and operating standards are met through scheduling and managing on-call employees.
  3. Directly oversees all day-to-day activities associated with opening, managing, and closing the facility.
  4. Oversees the contract parker program by ensuring customers are properly registered, A/R is billed and collected on a timely basis and responds to corporate account requests and concerns.
  5. Collects deposits and reports daily revenue on a consolidated basis and reviews cashier reports for accuracy and completeness daily.
  6. Ensures the facility is operating in accordance with company policy including revenue control, equipment maintenance, proper and accurate signage, and internal audit scores. Ensures the facilityโ€™s safety and security for guests and employees by reviewing maintenance checklists and conducting periodic safety audits as directed by the companyโ€™s Safety Manual.
  7. Responsible for resolving those customer concerns that are escalated to his/her attention by the facilityโ€™s front-line associates.
  8. Responsible for documenting Incident Forms and conducting incident investigations as directed by his/her Senior Operations Manager and/or the Corporate Office
  9. Responsible at all times for reviewing, understanding and acknowledging in writing when requested, the company provided policies and procedures that directly support completing my required work duties.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • May be asked to fill in for front line associates during their absences.
  • May be asked to meet with the propertyโ€™s client contact on as needed basis.
  • Other special projects as directed by the Senior Operations Manager.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Associateโ€™s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of operational and leadership experience in the parking or related industry, including revenue control and reporting.
  • Established experience in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral (including formal presentations) and written communications and comprehension skills are required.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license.
