Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Department: Operations

Reports To: Operations Manager

Position Type: Full-Time – Exempt

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000



Purpose of PositionManage people, materials, customer service and costs in the warehouse in alignment with Company policies and goals. This position impacts customer satisfaction and profitability.

Role Expectations


Productivity/Quality

  • Monitor and ensure operational metrics are achieved.
  • Ensure SOP and customer work instructions are followed by assigned department.
  • Understand customer contract requirements.
  • Plan the workflow and labor to achieve customer expectations.
  • Meet or exceed shipping accuracy of 99.9%.
  • Ensure all paper work and data entry is completed by 9am the next day and end of billing period by end of day.
  • Ensure all information sent out of the department is accurate and any errors are tracked.
  • Perform cycle counts as detailed by the company or the customer and record system entries.
  • Communicate all aspects of the operation to the Operations Manager, including weekly report space utilization/layout.
  • Participate in daily communications with Management Team.

Safety & Security

  • Follow food/safety SOPs and AIB standards.
  • Report equipment and facility building/grounds damage and repairs.
  • Drive a culture of safety throughout the company to achieve safety goals and objectives.
  • Enter all errors and safety incidents into Safety/Error Tracking Database
  • Follow security policies and SOPs. Image, Appearance and Sanitation
  • Ensure all department’s equipment and overall appearance is maintained as defined by the company.
  • Complete the monthly facility audit

Food Safety & Quality

  • Must have experience and be knowledgeable about Food Safety or willing to receive training in Food Safety.


Management

  • Sets clear goals and expectations for all direct reports
  • Provide feedback at annual review meetings, one on meetings or when necessary.
  • Properly documents all performance issues and creates a PIP when deemed appropriate.
  • Communicate company information via pre-shift meetings.
  • Continuously evaluate ways to improve the accuracy and efficiencies of department (identifying at least 2 significant improvements annually)

General

  • Review SOPs with appropriate personnel following review schedule.
  • Seek expertise/best practices from peers and support departments (i.e. Information Systems, Human Resources, Operations Manager, etc.)
  • Obtain approval for decisions that obligate the company and follows expenditure policy as outlined by Operations Manager.
