Accencis Group is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and support HEYTEA operations in Canada as the brand continues to expand into new markets and locations.

This is a hands-on, multi-unit role responsible for people, operations, profitability, brand standards, new store openings, and sales growth across HEYTEA locations.

The Operations Manager will work closely with HEYTEA Store Managers, Accencis leadership, internal departments, and the HEYTEA team/HQ to ensure strong execution and consistent brand standards.

Role Description The Operations Manager (Food & Beverage) is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond Hill, ON, responsible for overseeing restaurant operations across multiple brands. The role includes managing day-to-day store performance, monitoring service standards, and ensuring consistent food quality and guest satisfaction. The Operations Manager will lead and support restaurant managers, oversee staffing levels, and guide training and development to maintain high operational and safety standards. This position also involves analyzing sales and cost data, implementing operational improvements, coordinating with corporate teams on promotions and brand initiatives, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. The Operations Manager will regularly visit locations, address operational issues, and drive continuous improvement to support overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational and financial performance of assigned HEYTEA locations.
  • Coach, develop, and hold accountable Store Managers, Supervisors, and store teams.
  • Conduct regular store visits, operational audits, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with HEYTEA brand standards, recipes, SOPs, food safety, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor key KPIs including sales, labour, beverage/food cost, waste, inventory, productivity, and controllable expenses.
  • Review store P&Ls and develop action plans to improve profitability.
  • Optimize labour schedules based on sales performance and business needs.
  • Drive sales growth through local business development, product launches, catering, delivery platforms/MOPs, promotions, and new revenue opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to increase traffic, average check, product mix, and overall store performance.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels, management coverage, training, and succession planning.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, certification, and performance management.
  • Lead and support new HEYTEA store openings, including recruitment, training, opening readiness, stress tests, Friends & Family events, and grand openings.
  • Ensure new locations are operationally ready before opening.
  • Coordinate closely with HEYTEA HQ and brand representatives regarding operational requirements, standards, training, products, and initiatives.
  • Identify operational issues and ensure corrective action plans are implemented and completed.
  • Work closely with Finance, Marketing, HR, Supply Chain, Projects, and other departments.
  • Support implementation and proper usage of POS, inventory, scheduling, delivery, and operational systems.
  • Provide regular performance updates, action plans, and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive F&B, restaurant, beverage, or hospitality management experience.
  • Multi-unit management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing Store Managers or General Managers.
  • Experience in bubble tea, tea, coffee, QSR, or high-volume beverage operations is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of store P&Ls, labour management, food/beverage cost, inventory, waste, and operational controls.
  • New store opening experience is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple locations, openings, priorities, and projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly expanding brand environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is a strong asset, particularly for communication and coordination with HEYTEA HQ and brand representatives.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $68,000–$85,000 per year, based on experience.
  • Annual Performance Bonus: Up to 10%.
  • Benefits: Car Allowance, Gas Allowance, Bonus Scheme, Family Health Insurance, Paid Time-Off, and Paid Sick Leave.
  • Opportunities for career growth as HEYTEA continues its expansion across Canada and new markets.

Work Schedule & Requirements

  • Full-time position working 5 days per week, either from the Accencis office or visiting HEYTEA locations.
  • This is an in-person and field-based role.
  • Regular travel between HEYTEA locations is required.
  • Work schedules will be based on business and operational requirements.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required, particularly during new store openings, grand openings, peak periods, events, or operational needs.
  • Candidates must be comfortable supporting stores directly when required by the business.
  • Responsibilities and assigned locations may evolve as HEYTEA continues to expand.

The ideal candidate can walk into a store, quickly understand its performance, identify operational gaps, coach the management team, improve profitability, control labour and beverage costs, and drive sales growth.
