7% night shift premium and weekend premium

Perform all operations necessary to support Environmental Controls, Incineration Services, and/or Solvent Recovery in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.
An Environmental Operator will perform all operations necessary to support Environmental Controls, Incineration Services, and/or Solvent Recovery in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate and maintain large, complex equipment (e.g. wastewater treatment plant, fume incinerators, commercial liquids and solids incinerators, distillation columns, bulk tanks, forklifts, yard tractors) while adhering to written instructions and/or training.
  • Summarize observations and activities both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills
  • Perform troubleshooting and demonstrate critical thinking skills
  • Maintain the work area in a state of cleanliness and safety
  • Adhere to environmental, health, safety, and security programs, rules, and procedures.
  • Work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Actively participate in safety and continuous improvement teams

REQUIREMENTS
  • Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Driver's license
  • Able to pass the WorkKeys assessment for a Tippecanoe Labs Chemical Operator position
  • Able to wear required personal protective equipment including supplied air respirator
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance on a routine basis
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, and platforms and work at heights
  • Able to enter and work in confined spaces
  • Able to work in a high noise/high temperature environment, indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to handle hazardous materials and adhere to safety protocols
  • Willing to work 12-hour shifts, days or nights
