ABOUT THE POSITION

Although we are an apparel and footwear focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswear's Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.

The Enterprise Integration Architecture team is at the heart of blueprinting the digital transformation of Columbia Sportswear, Mountain Hardware, Sorel, and prAna brands. We serve our business and technical partners through strategic integrated planning and end-to-end solutions to accelerate feature delivery for critical initiatives.

As a Principal Enterprise Integration Architect, you will be responsible for designing and evolving Columbia Sportswear's integration and data movement architecture across enterprise platforms. You will work closely with engineering teams, product leaders, and other architects to deliver secure, scalable, and costeffective integrations that support critical business capabilities across Supply Chain, Planning, Product Creation, and DirecttoConsumer (DTC) domains for our global brands.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for discovering and documenting opportunities for growth and efficiency, adopt a continuous learning environment, and provide strategic advantage through innovative solutions, storytelling, building collaborative and inclusive partnerships, and transitional architectures.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Own integration architecture patterns including APIs, events, and data flows aligned to canonical domain models
  • Design endtoend integration solutions balancing scalability, resiliency, cost, and delivery timelines
  • Ensure solution designs adhere to enterprise architecture principles and platform standards
  • Scale organization's data & integration literacy through the modeling and design of enterprise services and APIs, adhering to canonical domain models
  • Engage business partners effectively to understand objectives, constraints, and outcomes, translating business needs into pragmatic integration and data architecture solutions
  • Partner with engineering leaders to shape architectural plans aligned to product roadmaps
  • Provide design guidance, design reviews, and handson problem solving during delivery
  • Advocate best practices for API design, eventing, and integration reliability
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and modernize integration platforms
  • Mentor and upskill teams on integration and data architecture patterns
  • Engage with vendors to ensure solutions align with Columbia standards

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years increasingly responsible professional experience in technology-related field
  • Demonstrated domain experience across Supply Chain, Planning, Product Creation, and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business capabilities, supporting enterprise-scale platforms and integrations
  • 5+ years in technology architect or engineering leadership roles providing design leadership to technical, business, & cross-functional initiatives
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale applications supporting critical product creation, supply chain, Direct To Consumer and corporate technology capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience designing, delivering, and operating enterprise integrations across their full lifecycle (design, build, deployment, and ongoing operations)
  • Experience with eventdriven architecture, async messaging, or streaming
  • Familiarity with leading enterprise cloud/virtual architectures in AWS or Microsoft Azure
  • Highly skilled at creating compelling architecture presentations covering enterprise scale vendor packaged applications, native cloud-based applications (custom or vendor managed), services and other applications
  • Demonstrated influencing leadership skills expressed through teamwork, facilitation, active listening, as well as multi-modal communication (written, visualization, and verbal) with customers
  • Strong team orientation and ability to thrive on virtual, international, cross-functional teams
  • Experienced in facilitating meetings with multiple customers and technical staff, including building consensus, defining key decisions and solution options, and mediating compromises when necessary
  • A passion for data-driven decision making supported through strong analytic skills, internal due diligence, market analysis, structuring hypotheses, and development of synthesized findings/recommendations
