Position Summary

The Senior Manager - Operations Readiness will lead the Operations Readiness function within the MWB Business Operations Team, supporting the MWB organization by ensuring operational changes are effectively designed, prepared, and embedded into day-to-day execution. This role owns the end-to-end readiness lifecycle for operational initiatives and changes, ensuring processes, roles, performance measures, and support models are clearly defined and scalable.

The Senior Manager will partner closely with Operations Innovation and Technology teams, operational leaders, Change Management, and Training to ensure initiatives are operationally sound, ready for deployment, and successfully adopted across MWB teams.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Provide oversight of an extended process development and readiness team, including both direct and dotted-line contributors.
  • Identify, develop, and deploy top operational talent through targeted stretch assignments and intermittent support models aligned to enterprise priorities.
  • Build a sustainable pipeline of operational readiness and process capability across MWB.

Operational Readiness & Partnership

  • Partner closely with Operations Innovation and Technology teams, operational leaders, Change Management, and Training to shape and deliver end-to-end operational readiness for MWB initiatives.
  • Ensure operational perspectives are incorporated early and consistently throughout initiative planning and execution.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on operational impacts, dependencies, and readiness risks.

End-to-End Readiness Ownership

  • Represent Operations throughout the full initiative and change lifecycle, including:
  • Designing, governing, and continuously improving intake, evaluation, and prioritization processes for operational initiatives and change requests
  • Assessing operational value, feasibility, dependencies, and alignment to the enterprise roadmap
  • Defining change impact, scope, and prioritization across affected teams and processes
  • Gathering, documenting, and validating end-to-end operational process requirements
  • Making key workflow, policy, roles, and process design decisions to enable successful execution
  • Defining operational performance measures, KPIs, and readiness success criteria
  • Supporting testing, operational validation, and readiness sign-off activities
  • Driving issue resolution, stabilization, and continuous optimization post-implementation

Change Management & Adoption

  • Lead Change Management for all MWB teams using a standard, repeatable, and scalable operational change framework.
  • Partner closely with Training teams to ensure role clarity, skill readiness, and effective enablement prior to and following go-live.

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive standardization, clarity, and simplification across MWB operational processes.
  • Identify systemic pain points and readiness gaps and implement durable process improvements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in operations readiness, process management, business operations, or organizational transformation.
  • Experience leading cross-functional operational change and readiness initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in operational process design, change impact assessment, and readiness execution.
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with structured change or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, scrum) preferred.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment and influence outcomes across organizational boundaries.


Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Management, or related field or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,900.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
