Job description

Summary:
The Assistant Jr Golf Professional greets guest on the phone and in person in the golf shop. They will book tee times, check in guests, and offer sales assistance to guests concerning merchandise purchases. They will also work closely with the Outside Services team to ensure a quality guest experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all aspects of the golf operations including golf shop merchandise effort, guest check-in, driving range, reservations, tournament, outside services, and clubhouse personnel.
  • Follow all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide an exemplary level of service to guests and patrons.
  • Responsible for general cleanliness of the facility.
  • Responsible for being aware of any special rates, deals, promotions, etc. in the marketplace promoting golf at our facility to the public or our hotel guests.
  • Operate counter/register operations daily.
  • Possess a strong and outgoing personality.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Possess computer literacy (POS, reservation systems, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the entire operation.
  • Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, guests, and the general public.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to engage in physical tasks, including walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs. for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
