As an Operational Excellence Consultant, you will play a vital role in this evolution. You will help teams make an impact, make real connections, and make the best version of themselves-driving meaningful improvements, coaching AOS behaviors, and enabling Honeywell Aerospace to climb higher, together.
As an Operational Excellence Consultant here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be a critical leader in the development and enterprise-wide deployment for the Aerospace Operating System (AOS), driving the transformation of operational performance across the business.
You will partner closely with site level AOS leaders and business stakeholders to establish the AOS roadmap, align strategic priorities, and enable scalable implementation across functions including Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), R&D, and Commercial.
As the key thought leader and change agent, this individual will coach leaders, drive method development and continuous improvement initiatives, and optimize end-to-end business and supply chain processes spanning procurement, production, distribution, and logistics to support long-term growth, operational efficiency, and cultural transformation.
This position may be performed remotely; however, travel is required up to 75%.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support & coach AOS Leaders to drive overall AOS roll-out of unit, set-up implementation roadmap and coordinate transition activities in the unit
  • Collaborate with the AOS Leader and align with the Head of Unit on their priorities and plans to achieve operational, financial, and strategic targets
  • Actively supports AOS Agile Action Plan(s) to deliver on Performance Improvement targets of units
  • Create impact through facilitation of training courses and Kaizen Improvement Events
  • Qualify & coach AOS Key Enablers on AOS Methods and the Lean Six Sigma mindset
  • Drives AOS Method development and improvement in a focus area of expertise, e.g. ISC, R&D or Commercial
  • Act as AOS thought leader for cultural change
  • Lead and manage strategic and tactical change projects, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Apply Lean Management-based business systems (such as DBS, HOS, and the Toyota Production System) to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Conduct process and management consulting to identify improvement opportunities and optimize business workflows.
  • Communicate effectively across the organization, collaborating with stakeholders in both the local language and English.
  • Lead Supply Chain Excellence Initiatives: Drive the end-to-end supply chain Honeywell Manufacturing Excellence Roadmap, executing initiatives related to demand planning, procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics optimization.
  • Support Strategy Deployment: Collaborate with the site leadership team to deploy strategies effectively, establishing and coaching critical initiatives (A3's), Tier accountability processes, and leading GEMBA walks to enhance structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Digital Transformation and Innovation: Identify and oversee initiatives aimed at implementing digitalization, data analytics, and process optimization across all supply chains, driving efficiencies and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams to initiate and sustain continuous improvement initiatives, actively reducing waste while implementing innovative practices.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze key supply chain performance metrics to pinpoint areas for improvement, reinforcing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies to maintain operational integrity and excellence.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience, with more than 4 years of leadership experience with Lean Manufacturing, Lean Business Systems, Consultancy or Operational Excellence.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% for business needs.
  • 4 or more years of relevant leadership experience in Lean manufacturing, Lean supply chain, or strategic change projects.
  • Master Practitioner level of competency in the fundamental Lean tools
  • Hands on experience in organizing and conducting Kaizen events and improvement workshops, coaching, and supporting change initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in Lean manufacturing, with a proven track record of implementation and change management.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience in providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring direct and/or indirect reports.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
  • Ability to inspire change & influence without authority.
  • Results and quality orientation.
  • Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and other relevant software solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies within supply chain management.
  • Due to US export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizen, perm resident, protected status under asylum/refugee, OR can obtain export approval.

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $186,000-$232,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $213,900-$266,800. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
